Job Interview part 2

Remember that I wrote that I will get the result of the interview on Monday?? Well, I did get the feedback from the manager, but it was not THE feedback that I was looking for. Instead of just simply tell me either I ge the poat or not, turned out that I have to do a business presentation!!!! My last business presentation was like 6 years ago!!! I was really close of telling her No to this, I really cannot take it anymore, luckily I have few friends that supported me and are willing to help me prepare for it.

So, yesterday after lunch I was busy preparing for the presentation which by the way is next week on Monday and it is my off day(another good reason of saying no to this). This means that I have to come to the office on my off day and since I don't have a car it means that I have to ask Amli to send me to work which means I have to leave house as usual(arrive in the office at 7.30am and the presentation is only at 2.15pm)

What really bother me about this whole thing is not the presentation part, but the whole process itself. Why is the manager try to prove here? That if I'm suck at this mock presentation it means that I suck for the presentation as a whole? and this post is only officer level, it is not even a manager post so why go thru all of these? To me the presentation skills you get it once you are in the post where you can find all the relevant informations and data to support your findings. And what irritates me the most is that doing presentation is not an easy job, you have to find the informations put it in the power point and then you have to make sure that the things that you put in the presentation are exactly presentable and all of these take time. Which I don't have. Imagine doing these while you are still doing your current job!!!! How unfair is that you us??

Just spoke to one of the team member, who knows that I have to do this and she told me that just do it because her boss(the manager that decide who gets the job) actually have her own preference and I spoiled her plan by applying to this job and did well in the application and the interview. And this presentation was her boss's instruction!!!

I'm so fed up about this whole things, and I mught just say No to this crap...
